About

Isidora, a filmmaker and photographer, began her journey studying film and television at the University of Chile before venturing abroad, where she earned a scholarship to attend Fémis in Paris and later pursued a master's degree in film directing at ESAV in Marrakech. Inspired by her experiences in Morocco and France, she developed a keen interest in capturing the world's diversity through her lens. Returning to Chile, she documented the social upheaval of October 2019, garnering attention for her poignant photographs and audiovisual works, which were featured in alternative media and national digital magazines. Her remarkable contributions were recognized with an award from Fotoprensa Chile in 2021, leading to a collective exhibition and the selection of her photograph for the cover of "Voces de rebeldía," a book chronicling the 2019 social revolt. Isidora's work continued to gain acclaim as her photographs capturing the Chilean social unrest were featured in the visual research magazine "Nemesis". In 2022, she embarked on photographic projects in India, including "Kathakali, the Dance of Gesture," which was published in the 10th edition of Ampolleta Roja magazine dedicated to documentary photography. Her series "Women tea workers" led her to join the collective of women photographers MIRAM, mirada de mujer participating in national and international exhibitions, notably the "Hysteria: rivendichiamo la nostra rabbia" Festival in Latina, Italy, commemorating the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on the 25th of November.
